So I read the reviews here, took the plunge and would say the *only* reason you should be buying this over another vendor’s external HD is the E-SATA interface. E-SATA is mighty fast and blows away USB. As others have mentioned, you need to reformat this to NTFS to save big files and I wiped the virtual partition. The backup software is junk – go download a freeware copy of GFI Backup which is way better. It works fine, but for the average plug and play person who is not tech savy this is probably too much work.
